Dear Chad, I am Andrew Rothbaums sister. Andy and my Dad have kept me posted on your heroic fight these many months. I send all my prayers for you, your family and friends. As Andrew probably told you at some point, I realized I had a drinking problem 2 1/2 years ago (our Mother died in her early fifties of liver cirrhosis) My family and friends never gave up on me and held me up when I didn't think I was deserving of love and happiness. I tell you this because I have witnessed many miracles in my successful recovery and with others I have met along the way. I believe in them, I have felt them, and I know they happen! You have to work for them- and I know you are, but the love you have surrounding you is the most powerful thing you have! I wish you joy, serenity and most of all, that you feel the love and hope that all of the people you have touched in your life are sharing with you. Miracles do happen- maybe another one is waiting for you today! Sending you peace and strength Rebecca Wetzler xo

Chad,
My son Jackson is an ALL survivor. On July 7, 1998 he was declared terminal. Thru the power of prayer he survived his disease. If ever there was a time, it is now. Completely surrender yourself to the hand of our Lord, Jesus. Don't know if you are a believer...God doesn't care about yesterday, just about right now...and right now...
My son is now 14 and plays rugby in Denver, CO. I know if I didn't believe, he wouldn't be with us today. Let go, love and trust in the grace of the Almighty...he is paying attention...and He loves you!

Godspeed on your complete recovery.
Nick Rucker, Jackson Rucker's Dad.

Chad, I've often asked Kevin how your recovery had been progressing and, until recently, was relieved to hear it was going well. These recent updates have been pretty heavy duty (for everyone I'm certain). I sincerely hope that things shape up for you again soon.

Hi Chad,

I forgot to give you the scientific names for the acronyms. They are as follows:
DIM = DiIndolylMethane (This is the most easily digested compound).
I3C = Indole-3-Carbinol

Do some Google searching to find resources.

Hi Chad, We're praying for your complete recovery. We love you. I have run across some very interesting information as I have researched cancer fighting foods and food extracts, and would like to share them with you. There are two substances that have extremely beneficial effects on the human immune system. One is called DIM ( ) and the other is I3C ( ). They are both derived from, of all things, vegetables. Brocolli has the greatest concentration but you would have to eat a boatload every day to realize enough benefit. Fortunately, a researcher has figured out a way to extract and concentrate the beneficial substances. If you like I will email you the articles I found at http://www.lef.org. I already sent them to your mom, but she is hesitant to open them because she says her PC is too outdated. Love from Uncle Skip.

Hi Chad, no great welcoming party to our new part in life called Cancer - I've been a part of the cancer crowd since March 2007 - breast cancer for me! Lost a boob & my hair. Chemo sucks - I went neutropenic twice. NO white blood cells, low red and no immune system to speak of! Loads of fun! Be strong and it is OK to not have good days. I've had my fair share of both. It kills me that you have to go through this crap too! We are young, stubborn and Sabercats (ha ha) - we will survive! Please contact me anytime for any reason! We get to Oregon about once a year (we are skipping this year because of my Chemo) - the Eugene area.

I will keep you in my prayers!

Hi Chad.

As Diane said, it's been a long time. I recently heard that you might be up in the Seattle area and suggested to Diane that she try to get in touch. I was close, but off by a state. It is ironic how and when connections get reestablished. I am truly sorry that you are going rounds with this illness. My prayers and thoughts will be with you through this and I will be checking this site to view your progress. When you're feeling better, drop me a line sometime. I would love to catch up.

All the best wishes for your speedy recovery,

Chad…
Heard from Betsy Nix that you may be living in the Seattle area, which is where I live. I googled you, and was shocked (to say the least) to find this website pop up first. You are in my thoughts & prayers–if there is one thing I remember about you from high school, it’s your sweet positive attitude. Hang in there, and drop me a line when you feel up to it. I would love to hear what you’ve been up to over the past 17 years. And I hope to hear some positive news about this bump in the road.
My most sincere well wishes,
